Hi, my name is Lou and i just got started with my first worm bin in Jan. , now i have four going, two with the compost worms ( red wigglers) and two with the Euros. , . I would like to start a bed outside this spring, I just have a question that perhaps someone could help me with, if i have a confined bed, oh say, eight feet by four feet, and seed it with say 2000 Alabama Jumpers and feed it well with o0ld leaves and grass clippings and such, will thay stick around or will thay migrate off, hope someone can clue me in.
Hi Lou-- The majority of your worms will stick around as long as their is a source of food. There is another theory that they won't travel far because it is easier to reproduce with so many worms near each other.
