Shipping, Delivery & Live Arrival Guarantee

At Worms4Earth, we guarantee your live earthworms will arrive healthy and active. To ensure safe delivery, we may delay shipments during periods of extreme heat or cold.

Live Worm Arrival Guarantee

We stand behind our Live Arrival Guarantee. If your worms arrive dead, you must report it within 12 hours of delivery. To qualify for a replacement shipment:

  • Take clear photos of the dead worms and the shipping label.

  • Email or text the images to us within the 12-hour window.

We will not replace worms reported after 12 hours or without photographic proof.

💡 Important: Someone must be available to receive your worms. If no one can accept the delivery, request “HOLD AT POST OFFICE FOR CUSTOMER PICKUP” in the order notes or by email. This extends our live guarantee to 24 hours after arrival at the post office.

Failure to pick up worms within 24 hours, leaving them in a hot mailbox, or missing the first delivery voids the Live Arrival Guarantee.


Refund & Replacement Policy

  • Refunds are available only before your worms ship.

  • If worms arrive dead and all reporting conditions are met, we will reship your order free of charge.

  • We do not offer monetary refunds for deceased worms.

  • Shipping may be delayed during extreme temperatures to ensure live delivery.


Incorrect Address Policy

Please double-check your shipping address when placing your order.

  • Worm orders shipped to an incorrect address are not eligible for refund.

  • Worm Factories returned due to incorrect addresses can be reshipped, but additional shipping fees may apply.


Order Fulfillment Schedule

  • Orders placed before 11:59 PM Saturday ship the following Monday or Tuesday.

  • Orders placed after 11:59 PM Saturday will ship one week later, on the following Monday or Tuesday.


Shipping Methods

Earthworms & Mealworms
  • Shipped via USPS or FedEx 2–3 Day Priority.

  • Expected delivery: Wednesday to Friday.

Worm Factory Systems
  • Shipped via UPS Ground or FedEx Ground within 1–3 business days.

  • You should receive your Worm Factory within 8 business days of placing your order.

🐛 If your order includes a worm bin and live worms, we will ship the bin first to allow setup time. Worms will be shipped separately after you receive the bin, unless otherwise instructed.


How to Report a Damaged or Dead Shipment

You are responsible for the worms once the carrier marks your package as delivered. If your worms arrive in poor condition:

  1. Do not discard the worms or original packaging.

  2. Take multiple clear photos:

    • The dead worms (not just a few—empty the bag to show the full loss).

    • The shipping label (must show your name and address).

    • Any box damage.

  3. Submit your images to us within 12 hours of delivery.

This is required to receive a free replacement shipment.
